Dr. Stosor is engaged in the clinical care of immunocompromised patients, including organ cell transplant recipients and those with HIV/HCV co-infection. My clinical research interests include: 1. HIV and organ transplantation, 2. HIV and HCV co-infection, 3. infectious diseases outcomes after organ transplantation, and 4. infectious diseases outcomes in mechanical circulatory support recipients.

Chad J Achenbach

Associate Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases), Preventive Medicine and McCormick School of Engineering

My research is focused on ways to improve treatment and outcomes of patients with HIV on antiretroviral therapy. In particular, I am interested in strategies of HIV eradication, broadly neutralizing HIV antibodies, and the epidemiology of HIV-associated cancers.

I am an Associate Professor of Medicine-Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. My primary clinical and research interests are in HIV and Viral Hepatitis Co-infection and Global Health. I am Principal and Co-Investigator on a number of epidemiological studies of HIV, Viral Hepatitis B and C, and Hepatocellular Carcinoma in the US, Tanzania and Nigeria. As the medical director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, I join forces with Infectious Disease pharmacists and the other hospital epidemiologists here at NMH. Our mission is to provide education, policy, and research that helps prescribers use antibiotics wisely. As an infectious disease physician, I care for a wide range of patients, particularly women with HIV. With maternal fetal medicine specialists and the NMH ID Clinic staff, I care for pregnant women with HIV infection.
