My work focuses on ways to improve health and healthcare through the efficient coordination of health promotion and disease prevention activities across healthcare and community settings. I am considered a national expert in pragmatic research and natural experiments to improve the prevention and control of diabetes and other chronic conditions. My major focus and passion is as a clinician and educator. I practice comprehensive adult endocrinology.I strive for outstanding, evidence-based, compassionate, thorough and empathetic care. Particular areas of interest include diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders. It is a privilege to take care of patients with endocrine disorders as best I know how. I enjoy the challenge of staying current with the science, applying and incorporating new and creative strategies.

Research efforts have centered on diabetes detection and management including participation the diabetes prevention trial, Phase 3 and 4 efficacy trials for diabetes treatment.

Samuel Stupp's research is focused on self-assembly and supramolecular materials with special emphasis in regenerative medicine, organic electronics, solar energy, and cancer therapies.

I have devoted my career to maintaining a state--of-the-art but individualized approach to primary care medicine, endocrinology, and, most specifically, the care of patients with all forms of diabetes. My main area of academic focus is to advocate for a minimization of bureaucratic obstacles that interfere with the primacy of the patient-physician relationship.

Dr. Hahr is interested in disorders of endocrinology. She specializes in disorders of calcium and bone, including osteoporosis, hyperparathyroidism and vitamin D deficiency. She also cares for patients with a variety of thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, pituitary disease and adrenal disease.
